Lou Reed and Fabrizio De André, Tom Waits and Kate Bush. Anyone who comes up with an image of these pop music icons is likely is thinking of a photo by Guido Harari. Fifty years of music and beyond through his ironic and brilliant view, in an intimate and powerful with the subjects of his images.

SINOSSI

SYNOPSIS

If Robert Doisneau is the representation of the “French-style” kiss and Weegee of American noir nights, Cartier Bresson of the fleeting moment or Robert Capa of the snapshot of war: to describe Guido Harari, we could say that he is the master of musical portraits. Anyone who can think of an iconic image of Lou Reed or David Bowie, Frank Zappa or Kate Bush, or the Italians Giorgio Gaber, Fabrizio de André, Vasco Rossi and Gianna Nannini, most likely has a photograph of him in his eyes. Telling the extraordinary musical revolutions of the late twentieth century, from the pop music of the 1960s to the singer-songwriter season, from international rock to the pop and dance of the 1980s through punk and the various avant-garde experiences of the beat generation, is the living matter of our documentary. A figure like Guido Harari, sensitive and ironic, passionate about everything he wished to portray to the point of becoming close friends with international stars, is the best way to take this journey. A series of never-before-seen footage, made by the photographer himself also creator of the first photo gallery in Italy dedicated entirely to music, the “Wall of Sound Gallery,” will also accompany us making this story more intimate and personal. The path weaving his life with the evolution of international music over the past 50 years, will be the track around which anecdotes, unpublished images and unexpected dramatic insights will be developed. All linked by an exciting human adventure of a young man who, fascinated by the shots of Anne Leibovitz, Jim Marshall, Art Kane, began a bit like the protagonist of Cameron Crowe’s film “Almost Famous”, who followed the tours of his musical legends and became the interpreter of the “sound of the soul of those he portrayed”.
