A ten-year-long quest to find his father’s identity. A quest that raises questions about family, life, death and the consequences that the war leaves behind. Who was Dick Mallaby? A loving father, but also a secret agent who was involved in some of the most important events of the Second World War. Richard “Vaky” Mallaby lives in Milan, where he works as a cinematographer. One day, he discovers some notebooks and other manuscripts belonging to his father, Dick, a British military officer who operated during the Second World War and had passed away ten years earlier. Lists, names, geographical indications. Among other items a strange little book: The diary of Dick Mallaby.
