Una maestra e un’anziana donna non riescono ad abbandonare un piccolo borgo nel centro Italia distrutto dal terremoto e poi abbandonato. Le due donne, sospese tra la fuga e la ricostruzione, troveranno un nuovo destino grazie ai bambini di un asilo nel bosco.
A teacher and an elderly woman are unable to leave a small village in central Italy destroyed by an earthquake and then abandoned. The two women, suspended between escape and reconstruction, will find a new destiny thanks to the children of a kindergarten in the woods.
SINOSSI
Quando il terremoto più forte degli ultimi cinquant’anni colpisce il centro Italia, Federica vede distrutto il suo sogno, un asilo nel bosco. Maria, 85 anni, perde tutto, compresa la sua casa. Entrambe non possono lasciare il paese in cui vivono come invece hanno fatto tutti gli altri. Si ritrovano sole a cercare di rimettere in piedi le loro vite. Federica ricostruisce l’asilo all’interno di una tenda yurta, utilizzando la natura come campo da gioco. Maria cerca di resistere cambiando le sue abitudini per sopravvivere nel luogo da cui non si è mai mossa. Ma nel villaggio vivono ancora i bambini, gli unici veri abitanti che affrontano la solitudine di quel piccolo angolo di mondo abbandonato, dove tutto sembra perduto. Attraverso la loro immaginazione, rappresentata con animazioni, il passato non fa più paura e sembra esserci una speranza nel futuro.
SYNIPSIS
When the strongest earthquake in fifty years hits central Italy, Federica sees her dream, a kindergarten in the woods, destroyed. Also Maria, 85 years old, loses everything, including her home. Both are unable to leave the village as everyone else actually did. They find themselves alone, trying to get their lives back on track. Federica recreated her dream inside a yurt tent, using nature as a playground. Maria tries to resist by changing her habits in order to survive in the place from which she has never moved. But the children are still living in the village, the only real inhabitants who face the loneliness of an abandoned little corner of the world, where everything seems to be lost. Through their imagination, represented by animations, the past no longer frightens as they see hope in the future.
